Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Unitarian-Universalist Church, 4848 Turner at 5:30 PMT Fair Tax Event:
The Fair Tax Coalition of Greater Rockford will present: Teach the Facts About The Fair Tax.
- It is important to attend this event, even if you are not working on the Fair Tax Committee.
- LWVIL and its local leagues have supported a graduated income tax for years. We believe this is vital to the Illinois economy and the well-being of its citizens. The fact that it will be on the 2020 ballot is a big win for the LWV coalition and its partners.
- Each of us needs to do our part to get the 2020 ballot measure passed. We do this by learning to communicate the need for the Fair Tax in everyday conversation with family, friends, and co-workers.
Please contact Claire McIntyre at: email@example.com to RSVP or if you have any questions.
LWVGR is a coalition partner of the area Celebration of the Suffragists and passage of the 19th Amendment taking place throughout 2020. It will be culminated with the dedication of a sculpture marking this Anniversary on August 18, 2020. Fundraising activities are underway to pay for the sculpture. SPoRT makeup is introducing their 2020 Red Lipstick. The lipstick sells for $18.00 and 20% of each purchase is being donated to the Public Art Installation (the Sculpture). The Lipstick may be purchased at Crimson Ridge. SPoRT makeup is owned by International Women’s Baseball Center.
