League art exhibition opening of “Heroes of American Women’s Right to Vote” Saturday, March 7, 2-4pm

Saturday, March 7, 2-4PM, the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford will present an art exhibition opening at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4848 Turner Street, in Rockford. The exhibit will feature “Heroes of American Women’s Right to Vote,” a seven-panel portrait of five suffragists and two others who were instrumental in the women’s struggle for the right to vote. The paintings were painted by Rockford artist and League member, Janie Wilson-Cook. The exhibit will remain throughout the month of March. The event is free and open to the public, refreshments will be served.
