The Artists Ensemble presents the story of Rockford University alumni and social reformers Julia Lathrop, LWVGR and LWVIL founder, and Jane Addams, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, at Cheek Theater at Rockford University on March 7-24. The play, requested by the Centennial Committee of LWVGR and written by Margaret Raether, is inspired by a 1935 posthumous biography Ms. Addams wrote, “My Friend, Julia Lathrop.”
