Donald J. Trump was re-elected as the 47th President of the United States of America, November 6, 2024.
As of this writing, Mr. Trump received 312 votes in the Electoral College and Vice President Kamala Harris received 226. Mr. Trump has the required Electoral College 270 votes. Through a constitutional process, He will take his oath of office at the presidential inauguration at around noon on January 20, 2025.
Mr. Trump served as 45th president in 2017-2021. The 22nd Amendment of the U. S. Constitution establishes that an elected president can only serve two terms in office for a total of eight years.
Vice President Harris called Mr. Trump to concede the election and promised a peaceful transition of power. This transition is an historical hallmark American Democracy.
